It is up to YOUR TEAM to choose your Team Roles.
This is YOUR team. You decide how you want to run it.
Who will take on the roles of Co-leaders? Anyone can do this. Some of you might have more experience with clinical care than others...you might be best suited to lead!
Identify a minimum of two co-leaders to guide your team during the IPE activity. These should represent at least two different professions. The co-leaders should ask probing HOW, WHY-type questions of the group to dig deeper into understanding the various professions roles, skill sets, knowledge, tools, information provided by different assessments, etc. You can change co-leaders throughout the activity to give additional people a chance to take on a special role.
Are you well-organized and good at taking concise notes? Perhaps you’d like to be the Scribe.
Select one or two scribes to develop a FLOW for the encounter and CHART NOTE for the patient's primary care provider care plan for the team. Use your team's GOOGLE doc for all documentation.
The Time-keeper must be willing to keep the team on schedule and on track, even if it means speaking up or interrupting when appropriate.
Identify one or more time-keepers who are willing to speak up when it is time for another profession to begin their patient encounter.
Someone who is well-versed in using google docs and Zoom might want to be the Technology Coordinator. In case any technical issues arise, your team will know they can count on you to help.
