Weighting

The Teacher Incentive Allotment has two components required by the state:

1. Teacher Evaluation

2. Teacher Student Growth 

The two components are weighted as follows:

Eligible Teaching Assignments

Currently, the specified teachers below in Cohort 1 Group are eligible to earn a TIA designation. Eligible teachers must be coded as "087"  (Full Time Teacher)  in PEIMS. All eligible teaching assignments must have no less than 5 students in their data collection group. All teachers in the eligible teacher group must be observed in the Cohort 1 data collection year 2022-23.  

Cohort 1 Group: 

• • Included Teachers:

    • • • Mathematics Teachers K-8, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II

        • ELAR Teachers K-8, English I, and English II

        • Science Teachers 3-8, Biology

        • Special Education that services students in the above content

        • Math and ELAR Interventionist K-12 (includes Dyslexia)

        • Any Nationally Board Certified Teacher

  • Data Collection Year- (Student Growth and Observation) 2022- 2023

  •  Data Submission- November 2023 

  •  Texas Tech University Notification of Results -February 2024 (APPROVED)

  • Compensation- May 15, 2024
