I graduated from East Carolina University in 1993 with a B.S. in Commercial and Community Recreation with a minor in Business. I then attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received a Master’s Degree in Public Health Education. I worked in the public health field for 20 years before I became a teacher. This is my third year of teaching. My teaching license is in Allied Health with a provisional area in PE and Health. I’m working to obtain the provisional area in Family and Consumer Sciences by February of 2021.
