For this assignment you will be (1) identifying a "Social Issue" that is important to you and (2) creating a poster that will share information about your Social Issue.
You will have at least 5 classes to work on this assignment. You must be actively working for all of those 5 classes for your work to be considered worthy of being "finished".

A social issue is a problem that influences many individuals within a society. It's a common problem we see happening in our society. A social issue can be considered as a problem that influences many people and many people strive to solve the issue.
Some social issues that are common among teens are:
- Self-Esteem and Body Image.
- Stress.
- Bullying.
- Depression.
- Cyber Addiction.
- Drinking, Vaping and Smoking.
Above all else, Social Issues are serious problems that should be taken SERIOUSLY. There is no room to make light or fun of a serious social issue that affects others.
Using your Chromebook, do research to find out about a Social Issue that is of interest to you...
Some things to think about:
- Are you personally interested in a Social Issue (meaning has it affected you somehow?)
- Social Issue artwork/imagery can be VERY powerful! Do you feel comfortable looking at images/text that has to do with your Social Issue? If not, try finding something that's a bit less upsetting to you.
- Will you be able to create a Social Issue poster that will be appropriate to hang up in a public space such as our school? If you want to create something that is very "edgy" in terms of appropriateness, I don't have a problem with that... I just might not be able to display it.
