What can I say about the coffee bean? After several failed attempts at finding a coffee shop to work from I found this gem. The most amazing part about this coffee shop is that it isn't hidden its not a hipster location type of thing. I had just never known anyone else to go there. So I took a leap of faith and walked in.
With exactly 9 tables inside all suited for 2-3 people at a time this place is just perfect for working. I never like to go in and sit down before ordering, I find that to be unfair to the business. They are after all a place for me to work so I might as well order and then get situated. This place has to have the best combo of food and coffee combination I’ve experienced so far. Don’t get me wrong, other places may have better food, or higher quality coffee but never both at the same place. Coffee Bean and tea leaf has that. When I get there it’s usually between 8-8: 30 am, so first up is coffee. A hot 20 oz coffee with vanilla is my go to order. It tastes like what I imagine a cappuccino to be but it’s not a cappuccino. I pair this with a sausage breakfast burrito they have on the menu. While the order is being made I am able to find a seat and get settled in. I am usually not the first person there working, usually. Which is nice because once I pull out my laptop I feel like I am more in the mood to get work done. I simply sit down and open my laptop which now connects to their wifi automatically. It takes less than 30 seconds to connect if its your first time.
Now I’ve learned that as long as I go in with a plan of what to work on I will stay on topic. The mood of the room allows me to also stay on topic, with people coming and going, sitting and chatting. It's so easy to sit and get lost in the moment of working.
Lets not forget though I have had coffee, which means at times nature calls and requires me to take a bathroom break. Their bathrooms are nice individual rooms with no code or key required.
The staff there is always amazing. When taking your order, be very polite and personable. My first visit there admittedly they forgot my order, but as soon as they realized it they went above and beyond to make up for it. Saying hi each time, and treating me like one of their own.
Coffee bean and tea leaf is worth every moment there. Please check them out!
