Video submissions for competitive categories should remain UNDER 3 MINUTES LENGTH. All submissions which exceed the 3 minute limit will only get special consideration to participate if submission's length is justified by the video's creators as necessary for their video. A 3-minute version (short edit) of longer videos should be prepared instead as a preferred submission. Videos longer than 3 minutes may be edited by the DVA Committee to meet duration standards. We recommend not submitting videos shorter than 30 seconds.
If you plan to participate, please inform us by completing this formal submission. We ask that you indicate your intention to get involved by Friday, March 26th 2021 and then submit your video by Friday April 9th, 2021.
Students may submit videos produced as part of their coursework, as well as movies created in their own free time. Students may collaborate with other students from different schools and age levels, but any assistance by video recording professionals must be clearly acknowledged and attributed.
The video file should be submitted directly by uploading it to Google Drive and sharing it with abclrc@abc-net.edu.sv. It can also be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo (in this case share a link with abclrc@abc-net.edu.sv).
Submissions must include the names of the director and production crew of the video.
Content should be suitable for all audiences (Rated G). All material rated PG must not exceed PG-13 rating standards. All PG material will be previously reviewed before acceptance in the competition.
Teachers may also nominate ANY video that has the potential to compete in any given category.
Descriptions of each category can be found on the Homepage.
If submitted videos contain the real names of actors, actresses or performers in the credits (or before them), these will be edited out due to privacy concerns when playlists are uploaded for Community Voting. Director and production crew names will not be edited for winning videos.
Please refer to the ABC Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy for more information regarding safe practices for media submissions in school and at home.
