The Fundraising Team were thrilled with the recent school discos which were held at Devanha Church hall. The children all had a fantastic time and boogied on down to the tunes from our DJ Finn! We also raised some money which will be reinvested into supporting the children’s experience in Ferryhill Primary.

As a Parent Council, we were especially pleased with the volunteer turnout. We received 13 new applications to be a parent volunteer at Parent Council events. This is a great beginning to having a large pool of parents to draw on for future events.

Although not all our roles will fall under the Regulated Role designation, all volunteers at Parent Council events will have their details submitted for registration with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme run by Disclosure Scotland. This is to reassure the parent forum that all adults representing the Parent Council are suitable to work in a voluntary capacity with children.
