Week 1:
We met our advisor and team members . We have created a means of communication which is inclusive as we all are meeting each other for the first time. So we created telegram group so that we can access information and also discuss anything relevant for our project freely.
Week 2:
We proposed our ideas and discussed on them with our advisor and analysed the economic, environmental and simplicity of the proposed project ideas based on the requirements needed. (No hanger, smart city...). Mine was a smart garden which is self irrigating using moisture sensors from its water tank. And it also provides fertilizers as it have a decomposition kit.
Week3:
We selected the best project idea which is a home level electricity generation using rain water and also have smart garden included in it.This project idea is eco friendly and also it can solve the problem of power supply for those who are not served yet .
Week 4:
We met together inorder to take responsibilities on our proposal writing and we shared topics using the requirements mentioned by our university as a guide.(Title, methodology, scope......)
Week 5:
We estimated costs for our projet which is about 10,000 ETB based on our rough estimation since this is the amount planed for all projects and this should be our scope of cost as much as possible.
Week 6:
We decided the specific materials needed and the over all progress and design of our prototype . And we formed sub groups to take responsibilities accordingly structural engineering,software and biological tasks.
Week 7:
We gathered together inorder to discuss about the materials needed for our project and we prepared a list accordingly in addition to this the progress of our sub groups .
Week 8
We met our advisor and discussed about our achievements and about the cost cover money for our project.
Week 9
We received the budget needed for our project and we started to purchase materials based on our material list. Some of the materials are expensive but since our project is eco friendly we have tried to compensate this by using recycled materials.
Week 10
We started working on our project based on our sub groups. and our sub group task was the structural part ,building the house determining the size of the structure, identification of location what should be where. And we have assembled the overall structure of the projet. While the other sub group worked on the electrical and software parts.
Week 11
We assembled together the achievements we have been working on as a sub group and analysed wether our final project meets functional, aesthetical and other criteria.And it did. Based on my opinion it is a great achievement to be able to apply our skills, knowledge and effort to reach on a project like this with in the given period.
Week 12
We have presented our final project to our advisor for pre evaluation before the final day of presentation. And worked on our final proposal,presentation of the project.
