About me
I'm abel bisrat baruda from butajira town. And 4th-year electrical engineering student at AASTU, currently in the final stage of bachelor's degree program. By now, you have completed numerous courses and gained practical experience through internships and TVT opportunities by industrial automation.I will likely to take advanced course in computer enginnering . These courses will build on the foundation laid in next years and provide you with a deeper understanding of the field.
WEEKLY REFLATION
Week 1
for the first week to receive an orientation from an advisor regarding the Integrated Engineering Team Project(IETP) plan and goals. which will include the project scope and objectives. brainstorm, discuss, and have meetings with my team mates. We have been spending time this was the most important session because it helped us get to know one another. We exchanged ideas, talked about the orientation that was offered, and talked about how things should proceed moving ahead.
week 2
the second week to discuss the project concept with a group member and an adviser on each individual project idea using form A. I perused the course materials and viewed the lectures that were posted on the online learning platform. I looked into several project ideas that would help achieve the UN SDG objectives. we discussed our goals, and he provided guidance on how to select concepts that balance local concerns, stay under budget, and utilize our resources efficiently.
week 3
On this week, we had the task of selecting the best project ideas. We followed a specific procedure which included evaluating various factors such as costs, materials required, time taken, participation from all engineering fields, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After thorough discussions, we narrowed down the options and identified the top three project ideas. The first idea is Home Level Electricity Generation from Rainwater. This project aims to harness the power of rainwater to generate electricity for household use. It involves developing innovative methods to capture, store, and convert rainwater into a sustainable energy source. The second idea is Smart Farm. This project focuses on incorporating advanced technologies into traditional farming practices. It aims to optimize resource utilization, enhance crop yield, and minimize environmental impact through the integration of automation, data analytics, and precision farming techniques. The third idea is the Hand-Free Wheelchair. This project aims to improve the mobility and independence of individuals with physical disabilities. It involves designing and developing a wheelchair that can be controlled without the use of hands, allowing users greater freedom and ease of movement. Once the top three project ideas were selected, we proceeded to submit them to our advisor for further evaluation and guidance.
week 4
Discussing and clarifying the proposal requirements is a crucial step in ensuring everyone is on the same page and understands the goals and expectations. Sharing each team member's skills can also help in identifying strengths and areas where additional support or collaboration might be needed. It's great that your team has had a productive week discussing the proposal and dividing tasks. Collaboratively working on different sections of the proposal allows each team member to leverage their skills and expertise for a comprehensive and well-rounded document. If you've already divided the tasks as mentioned (introduction, statement of the problem, methodology, how to work, and conclusion), you're on the right track.
If you have any specific questions or if there's anything you'd like advisor with regarding the proposal or any related topics, feel free to let me know. I'm here to help!
week 5
On this week. We have to show our efforts towards the creation of our proposal, investing a substantial amount of time to enhance and polish its quality. It brings us great satisfaction to inform you that we met the proposal summit to our advisor successfully on deadline. go ahead, we are excited on the next stages in the process. The diligence and commitment we put into this project are a source of pride, and we are eagerly anticipating the opportunities that may arise from it.
WEEK 6
This week, we have discussed on outlined every item that is needed material for our project, including Stepper motor, Battery, Arduino nano, Relay module (4 in 1), Moisture sensor, Pump, Water level sensor, Accessories, PVC, Plywood, Hard paper, Glue, Jar, Plastic glass, Coloring, markers, Nails(bolt) and Tube and any other resources that may be needed. We have carried out a thorough cost study of the selected materials to guarantee effective financial planning. Every issue has been investigated, and the project budget as a whole includes the corresponding expenditures. We have looked into every detail, and all related costs are included in the project budget.
WEEK 7
This week, our team convened with our advisor to submit our bill of materials, laying out a comprehensive inventory of required components for our project. We engaged in a thorough discussion on the procurement process, delineating our strategy for acquiring the necessary materials, including considerations for sourcing and vendor selection. Alongside this, we detailed our project initiation plan, outlining the sequential steps involved in commencing the project. These discussions ensure a transparent and well-organized approach to resource acquisition and project initiation, fostering clarity and alignment within the team.
WEEK 8
We held several conversations about the project as a whole and the procurement strategy with our group members and adviser as the submission deadline approaches. We received instructions to make certain adjustments to the project proposal and plan. Our advisor gave as the news that our budget have been released.
WEEK 9
on this week , we bought some of the electrical components and other material like wood for basement of the prototype, battery, DC motor and other accessory. Additionally, we were told to start buying supplies sooner so that we could start fabricating the prototype. There were shops selling electromechanical components at the Megenagna, Zef mesh mall, based on bill of materials.
WEEK 10
In the concluding stage of our project, we concentrated on testing the prototype. Despite facing various challenges, we maintained determination and resilience, resolving issues within our capacity and making necessary adjustments. Eventually, our persistence paid off, resulting in the successful development of a fully operational prototype, filling me with a sense of pride and achievement. Through continuous testing and fine-tuning, we made minor modifications to the prototype to ensure it fully served its intended purpose. These refinements guided us towards the final version of the product, successfully achieving our initial objectives. With the completion of the prototype, our attention shifted to the final documentation and presentation of the project. We conducted a thorough discussion to assign responsibilities for preparing the concluding report and a concise three-minute video summarizing our efforts. Each team member took on their assigned tasks, pooling their expertise and contributions to produce a comprehensive deliverable.
WEEK 11
this week is the last week for finalizing our presentation for the evaluator and finishing the project's final report took up the majority of our last week of work. To make sure we could fully explain to the evaluators the objectives, characteristics, and advantages of our project, we started by practicing our presentation thoroughly. In order to convey our views with clarity and assurance, we practiced our delivery. We put a lot of work into writing a thorough and well-organized final report at the same time. In-depth information about our project, including the problem statement, suggested fix, technology used, and possible outcomes, were covered in the report. We wanted to provide readers a thorough grasp of our project and its components by carefully describing this importance. and also am contribute for the project poster's creation and design. The poster functioned as a marketing tool to highlight our work and provided a visual depiction of our project, effectively explaining its main features.
