FIRST is the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education. Through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18, FIRST has a proven impact on learning, interest, and skill-building inside and outside of the classroom, creating the people who will change the world – today and tomorrow.
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is the foundation of the STEM and robotics suite of programs provided by FIRST and serves elementary aged students with engaging, hands-on, minds-on robotics challenges that intrigue and inspire. FLL introduces students to engineering and coding in engaging, inclusive, and creative learning environments in schools and local communities, where students work collaboratively to solve an annual, themed robotics challenge. Visit the FIRST LEGO League website for more information and follow the steps below to get started.
FIRST LEGO League is uncovering the past and discovering the future for the 2025-26 season. FLL teams will participate in the UNEARTHED challenge to explore the technology and inspiration used in current day archaeology to discover ancient artifacts. A brief introduction to FIRST AGE and the FLL UNEARTHED game can be found on the FIRST website here. Challenge materials including robot and game rules, a video overview of the playing field, and supporting documents will be available on the FIRST website early this summer with the official challenge launching on August 5, 2025.
