If you would like to have your student ‘shadow’ another student to get a feel for Huron’s academics and environment, please sign up for one of our upcoming Shadow Days. First preference is given to non-AAPS students and families, as current AAPS 8th graders have an opportunity to visit Huron during the Transition Day in May.
Students and caregivers will need to arrive at the Huron Counseling Office by 8:30am. There will be a brief introduction as well as a question and answer opportunity for families. Caregivers are welcome to continue the discussion with the counselor and/or the IB coordinator until 9:15am. At 8:50, the host student will arrive to pick up your student. They will then attend 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hours together. Shadow students will need to be picked up by 11:45am.
This Linktree provides prospective students and families with information about Shadow Day and our academic programs. Inside, you’ll find detailed information about the school profile, enrollment process, graduation requirements, and daily bell schedule. You can also explore our International Baccalaureate offerings, including the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for 9th and 10th grades and the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for 11th and 12th grades. We hope these resources help you learn more about our River Rat school community and some of the academic opportunities available.
