Prime Time has 4 main investigations throughout the book. The first investigation is "Building on Factors & Multiples", in which students learn to identify what a factor and a multiple are. The second investigation is "Common Multiples & Common Factors", in which students learn to identify ways to find the least common multiple (LCM) and the greatest common factor (GCF). Investigation 3, "Factorization: Searching for Factor Strings" focuses on different methods used to find the prime factorization of a number. The final investigation, "Linking Multiplication & Addition: The Distributive Property", explores the relationship between the multiplicative and additive structures of numbers. Below are links to assignments that are not in the book.
