What does sixth grade look like at A2 STEAM?

Science is the discipline we use to contextualize our interdisciplinary projects throughout the year.

Technology is the tool box that we pull from to research, organize, and exchange ideas. 

Engineering is the perspective taken to ensure that projects have a relevant, real world application.

Art is the way we communicate our ideas. It is visual, verbal, written, demonstrated, and experienced.

Mathematics is the arena where students practice skills central to the data analysis of their projects.

Our hope is that every student...

   knows they are loved and appreciated,

   feels connected to a supportive community,

   is challenged by a scientific question, 

   journeys through an historical investigation,

   analyzes persuasive data,

   and communicates passionately, 

   to design a real solution to a real problem.
