CTE Proficiency/Articulation Agreements
Proficiency agreements are signed by teachers who teach courses that offer proficiency credit to AACPS students. Students can take an assessment provided by a local college after completing a designated high school course. Students may earn transcripted (graded) college credit while still in high school.
The Proficiency Resource Guide- it has everything you need including:
Your student’s Request for Proficiency Credit Form- please use this form as we do not accept previous versions of this from other years. You MUST use this year’s form.

Your Professional Development materials- including the required Video, required Quiz, and your Collaboration Worksheet

In order for your students to be eligible to apply for Proficiency Credit, the following requirements must be met.
Due by September 30: Watch the Proficiency Professional Development Video (in the resource guide)
Due by September 30: Score a 100% on the Proficiency Professional Development Video Quiz (in the resource guide)
Due by September 30: Attend a collaboration session with your AACC faculty and complete a Collaboration Worksheet (available for download in the resource guide)
Due by September 30: Turn in a copy of your completed Collaboration Worksheet (virtually or a clear picture of a handwritten one) to Melanie (emcoleman1@aacc.edu) so that we can mark your attendance at the Proficiency Collaboration.
