Homework

Homework helps reinforce skills learned and practiced in the classroom. Homework consists of studying for tests, Book-It!/independent reading, studying spelling words, and math fact practice. Students in 3R do not have a lot of written homework. They occasionally may have an assignment that needs corrected for a better grade. If a student receives an F on a paper, they may correct it for a better grade. When an F paper comes home, it will have may correct for a better grade written at the top of it. Please help your child correct it and send it back to school the next day. I will then regrade the paper and average the first score and second score together and write that on the paper and change the grade in the online grade book. Please make sure your child corrects F papers because a low grade can really have a huge negative impact on your child's grade in that subject. Since the students of 3R do not have a lot of written homework, I really stress and encourage you to make sure your child is reading, practicing math facts, and studying spelling words every night.
