Agronomy

Recommended for grade level 9-12.

The Agronomy course looks at the principles of crop science, sustainable agriculture, impact of climate on crops, plant structure, plant growth, pests and methods of control, agricultural ecosystems, plants as food, plants as fuel, water conservation, and fertilizers & chemicals. The course will also include instruction for measurements related to agronomy topics. Students will also be instructed on how to evaluate the use of a given piece of land.
