This car was sold new from Nesbitt Motor Co. in Gadsden, AL on June 11, 1963 for $4,047.70. The list price was $4,096.23. The man who bought it is shown below.
Ken drag raced this new car just to find out how quick it was, running low 12s on street tires (with his family in the car!). In 1964-5 he pulled the 427 and replaced it with a 390 and automatic. He sold the engine to one friend, and sold the car to another friend. Later he bought back both the car and the engine and put them back together. He sold the car about 2004. The first picture below is his family and was taken in 1966 in Southside, AL. He didn't get the S-55 because he needed room for his family. (from his son)
