TREX CHALLENGE POSTERS

Green Team members! Help us spread the word about the Trex Recycling Challenge by making a poster that will hang in Central's hallways, and possibly be used in some newsletters by staff! You can make your poster any size (not too big please) and use any method you'd like - paper/markers/etc or your iPad (use apps like Pic Collage or Drawing Pad.) Turn in your finished posters to either Ms. Potakis or Mrs. Dietrich by November 15th!

You can include any design you'd like, as long as it's school appropriate. The following information MUST BE on your poster, although you may phrase it anyway you'd like:

*We will be collecting plastic from November 15th - April 15th.

*We will be competing at a national level and against other District 39 schools (Central, Harper, McKenzie, Romona and Highcrest will be competing) to see who can collect the most plastic. The national winner will win a bench for their school made from recycled plastic.

*All plastic must be clean, dry and free of food.

*What can be recycled:

Grocery bags (all colors), bread bags, bubble wrap, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags (no metal clips) plastic shipping envelopes (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc) Ziploc bags and other food storage bags, cereal bags, case overwrap (the kind you find on water bottles, toilet paper, paper towels, etc) salt bags, pallet wrap, stretch film, wood pellet bags, and produce bags.

*Collection bins will be in Central's lobby by the Lost and Found.

Additional ideas: You can include a theme of school pride (make the contest between the schools the focus) or a theme of environmentalism (why recycling all this plastic is a good idea!) or just make it a beautiful informational poster.
