The Garden Club of Williamstown will host Master Gardener and author Bette Sanders at the Harper Center on Tuesday May 13th at 1:00.
Sanders is a Lifetime Master Gardener with the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association as well as a nationally accredited flower show judge. She has lectured at the New England Flower Show, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society,and the Tower Hill Botanical Garden among other places. She will be presenting a demonstration titled "Bottoms Up! A How to Program for Creating Beautiful and Successful Container Gardens". The program is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.
Following a slight scheduling hitch in April, Canna Care Docs will be at the Harper Center on Friday May 31st. They'll be talking about medical marijuana, not the recreational option. Many people have spoken of its palliative effect on Glaucoma, pain relief, nausea post chemotherapy and many other conditions. CannaCare Docs are an entity dedicated to bringing cannabinoid therapies into mainstream medicine. They're presenting at 1:00 and will be preceded by a cookout at noon.
Adam Cameron, new manager at the Sand Springs pool will be at the Harper Center on Friday May 24th at 1:00 to talk about his plans for 2019 pool operations as well as providing enhanced access for Williamstown elders as well. There are developing iniatives with the COA to provide a limited number of free, one day access passes and opportunities for up to eight individuals to swim free on Monday and Wednesday mornings in June. Adam is also working on implementing a summer arthritis swim program. His conversation will be preceded by a luncheon at noon, menu TBD.All welcome.
