The three towns are discussing a shared kennel facility to be located at the proposed new DPW facility in North Adams. Since the other 2 towns have the pressing need, they have taken the lead in developing grant application materials for the state. Possibility of 100% state funding. We are also investigating a three town collaborative approach to animal control to align with the facility. (Note that our Animal Control position was not filled after it became vacant; the responsibilities have been distributed across the Police Department.)
