BUILDING

Local Inspector Rob Rosier has left the department to pursue opportunities in the private sector. The local inspector position has been advertised in local media and on building trade websites.

Ryan has been performing progress inspections and conducting plan reviews for multiple projects. Review work continues on the science quad project. Inspection work at Cable Mills is ongoing and meetings have begun on that project's final phases.

HEALTH

Jeff Kennedy is meeting this afternoon at BRPC to discuss the anchor town concept of public health, as well as the regional public health emergency management system.

Jeff Kennedy has been doing the usual public health inspections of food establishments, rental units, septic systems, etc.

Establishments are using up their old stocks of polystyrene containers and plastic bags and are converting to reusable, recyclable items.

LAND USE

The Planning Board met on Tuesday the 15th and recommended Town Meeting adopt all proposed zoning amendments with the exception of a citizen's petition proposal to allow, via Special Permit, a hotel on the Waubeeka Golf Course.

The Zoning Board met on Thursday the 17th to permit Jack Miller Contractors to use office space at Sand Springs Pool.

The Conservation Commission meets on Thursday the 24th to hear RDA requests from WIlliams College for a temporary parking lot at Dennison Park and re purposing of an area near Mission Park for the uses currently present at Dennison Park. Additionally the Commission will discuss next steps in their Open Space planning project.

Andrew met with the BRPC Regional Issues Committee on Wednesday the 23rd in Pittsfield to continue discussions on the proposed Land Use Reform Bill now making its way through the House and Senate in Boston.
