Hi, Everyone,
Dick Schlesinger, the chairman of the Conservation Commission, has asked Bob Hatton and me to organize a committee to review the Commission's new open space and recreation plan, which is in the process of being drafted by Andrew Groff, the Commission's agent, and Leslie Reed Evans, the executive director of the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation. When the draft is a bit further along, this new committee will review and revise it as appropriate.
The Commission would like to invite each of your organizations (Select Board, Planning Board, Williams College, Chamber of Commerce and the Williamstown Youth Center) to select a representative to join the committee and facilitate its work. Please select such a person at your earliest convenience and let me have his or her name (and email address). I will then get in touch with everyone to set up our first meeting sometime next month. The draft will be circulated well in advance, so we will have an opportunity to review it before the meeting.
We should be able to complete our work with just a few meetings - this will not be a long-term commitment. I think we all have enough of those already...
If you have any questions, please contact me. Many thanks for your cooperation.
Best,
Phil
