Corporate meeting groups make up about 65 - 70% of Graylyn's business. Most of this business is in the form of conferences that include meeting elements and sleeping rooms for one or more nights. What sets Graylyn apart from most hotels in the area is that we offer Package Pricing versus the a la' carte pricing structure that is typical in the hotel meeting industry. This allows companies to receive everything they need for their particular meeting or conference in one price per person per day, thus making their budgeting and planning duties much more efficient.
Graylyn offers Complete Meeting Packages (CMP) as well as Day Meeting Packages (DMP). A CMP Package generally includes sleeping rooms, 3 meals, meeting space, basic AV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and coffee breaks. A DMP allows for the planner to customize the length of time they need meeting space with a full, half, or partial day option. It generally includes meeting space, lunch, coffee breaks, basic AV, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Groups that utilize our package pricing are assigned a meeting space as well as a private dining space. Lunch Buffets are Conference Dining, which are chef selected and seasonal. This means that all groups eating lunch as part of a meeting will utilize the same buffet; however, each group will be provided their own private space to eat.
Meeting space is located in 4 buildings on property: Manor House, Bernard Cottage, Management House, and Mews. Specific Meeting Space is rarely guaranteed during the contracting phase, which allows Graylyn's coordination team to move groups around based on specific setup needs. Dining Space is located in the Manor House, as that is the location of Graylyn's only fully functioning kitchen on property. Dining events may be scheduled and take place in Bernard Cottage or Mews, but menu options are more limited in these locations due to not having immediate access to a fully functioning kitchen in those buildings.
