Iowa Farm Bureau Scholarships offers local and state level scholarships. 27 scholarships valued at up to $10,000 each will be awarded through state level awards. Current IFBF members and children are eligible. Leaderships, community involvement, and academic requirements are additional considerations and the deadline to apply is January 28, 2026.

Palo Alto County Farm Bureau offers 3 scholarships valued at $500 each with one being selected to move on to the higher-level $2,500 scholarship award. Applicants need a 2.5 GPA, be involved in extra curricular activities, and demonstrate leadership and community involvement. Students in other counties can apply for their county farm bureau's awards if you are not eligible for Palo Alto's. The deadline to apply through this specific link is January 28, 2026.

The Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative Basin Scholarship offers a $1,000 and a $1,500 scholarship. An essay is part of the application and there is an "appraisal" section for the applicant to be rated. Materials are here and here. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.

The I Have A Dream Scholarship is open to anyone age 14 or older at the time of application. In an essay of 250 words or less, describe a dream you have for the future or a dream you had last week. Deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.

Children's Cancer Connection offers funds for a student who has been effected by cancer, either having cancer now or in the past or being a sibling to a person who had cancer before the age of 18. An application, essay, and letters of recommendation are required before the deadline of January 31, 2026.

The John C. and Nancy J. Heuck Scholarship is for students who will enter an agriculture-business or related field. Students may receive a scholarship valued at $1,000 (minimum) and the deadline to apply is February 1, 2026.

Conservation Districts of Iowa offers scholarship funding to students who complete their application, which includes a short essay related to soil and water conservation. Note that any essays deemed to come from AI will be disqualified and there are additional rules to the application, which has a deadline of February 6, 2026.

The Iowa Newspaper Foundation offers scholarships to students going into the newspaper industry. A personal statement, references, and application are all requires and the deadline to apply is February 13, 2026.

The National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarship offers funds but does require connection to a NPGA member, company, or council. Read full directions to determine if you are eligible before completing the application, which has a deadline of February 15, 2026.

The Horatio Alger Undergraduate Scholarships and Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarships are available to current seniors. These funds, which can be quite large, offer financial support to students on a path toward further education. Review the eligibility requirements to be sure you apply for the correct scholarship for you. The deadline for both scholarships is February 15, 2026.

The Grand Lodge of Iowa Masonic Scholarship awards 25 scholarships. Service to school and community are of heavy focus in reviewing applicants and the deadline to apply is February 16, 2026.

The 2025-2026 Mark Earl and Esther Ruth Spencer Technical Scholarship - Grand Lodge of Iowa offers scholarships to students entering a mechanical or trade force after high school graduation. Several scholarships will be awarded and the deadline to apply is February 16, 2026.

Delta Kappa Gamma is offering a scholarship to women who will enter the teaching profession. An application and written portion are required for the scholarship, which has a deadline of February 22, 2026.

Iowa Retired School Personnel Association (IRSPA) has a scholarship called Parent in Heaven Balance Scholarship. It is for students who have lost a parent or guardian anytime in their life and are now seniors in high school. They are giving out six $1000 scholarships, one in each of their districts and the deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.

Aureon Network Services Scholarship Program offers scholarships valued at $1,000 - $3,000 each. Applicants should plan to pursue a STEM related field and have home service from an Independent Telecommunications Company, as well as apply by the deadline of March 1, 2026.

Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education offers funds for students going into an auto related field, such as technician training, body shop/collision repair, diesel, new vehicle sales, parts sales, accounting, or business administration. Applications are due March 1, 2026.

*Note the Edmund S. Elbert Scholarship is specifically for students attending Iowa Lakes Community College who reside in certain counties. A list of name scholarships can be found HERE.

Ducks Unlimited offers scholarships $500 - $10,000 to students who are members of Ducks Unlimited. Commitment to wetlands conservation is part of the application consideration and the deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.

The National Press Club Scholarship offers several scholarship awards to students who will enter a career in journalism. Awards amounts and requirements vary but the all have a deadline of March 1, 2026.

The Print & Graphics Scholarship Foundation allows students to use their creative skills to create posters, stickers, t-shirts, or boxes. The deadline to apply for each type of contest is March 12, 2026. Note that under the website's "Students" tab there are options to apply for contests or scholarships with different deadlines.

Friendship Haven Memorial Foundation offers funds through 2 scholarships to students entering a health or social services field as well as funds through 2 scholarships that do not specify needing to enter a health or social services field. Please read the attached information for details on each scholarship's requirements to apply by the deadline of March 13, 2026.

The NEW Cooperative Agricultural Scholarship will award approximately 10 scholarships valued at $2,000 each. Applicants should be a NEW Coop member, a dependent of of a NEW Coop member, or a dependent of a full-time NEW Coop employee. They should also pursue an agricultural degree and apply by the deadline of March 13, 2025.

NEW Cooperative is offering a Bob Wallentine Memorial Scholarship valued at $4,000 with one award given. Applicants should pursue an agricultural business degree. Applicants should be a NEW Coop member, a dependent of of a NEW Coop member, or a dependent of a full-time NEW Coop employee. The deadline to apply is March 13, 2025.

StateLine Cooperative offers 8 scholarships valued at $500 each to students who will continue education and enter an agricultural related career. The deadline to apply is March 14, 2026.

First Friday Breakfast Club offers 20 scholarships this year in the value of $3,000 each to students who have increased awareness and tolerance of LGBTQ+ individuals. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2026.

2026 Spirit of Chandy Academic Scholarship awards up to 21 Iowa students up to $1,000 per year. Academics, character, leadership, and honors and awards are part of the consideration for the scholarship, which has a deadline of March 23, 2026.

The Superpower Scholarship is valued at $2,500 to answer a short essay about superheroes or villains. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.

The SFM Foundation Scholarship Opportunity awards scholarships up to $15,000 per year to students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in a workplace accident while working for Minnesota or Iowa employers. The deadlines to apply is March 31, 2026.

SFM Foundation awards a maximum of $15,000 / year to students who have had a parent/guardian injured or killed in a work-related accident. Further requirements are detailed on the website and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.

The 2026 Herman Sani Scholarship, through the Iowa Golf Association, awards $8,000 over 4 years to applicants who have a background in golf. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.

The Ann Griffel Scholarship offers funds in the amount of $2,000 to female golfers with a background in golf. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.

The Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship awards one $1,000 award to one male and one female. Iowa Games participation and character will be considered, as well as other characteristics listed on the website. Applications are due April 1, 2026.

The Palo Alto County Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship is for students who will go into a medical or health related field. There is a GPA requirement, essay, letters of recommendation, and more. If an applicant has taken college credit courses, a transcript from the college is needed in addition to the high school transcript. Students may submit application materials to Sharon Hobart, jshobart@ncn.net, by the deadline of April 1, 2026.

Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative offers funds to dependents of ILEC. Please read the details of that scholarship opportunity here and here since you are required to attend an annual meeting, which you RSVP to by April 3, 2026.

Kossuth Regional Health Center Auxiliary offers a scholarship of $500 and a certificate to a graduating senior who demonstrates volunteerism. You are not required to enter a healthcare field to be eligible, and the deadline to apply is April 17, 2026.

West Bend Knights of Columbus offers two scholarships valued at $500. The application includes the local scholarship cover letter and a specific essay question form they request. Applications are turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by the deadline of 3:30pm on April 24, 2026.

Wilma Cargin Memorial Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student who completes the cover letter and application, which requires an essay response. Materials for this award are turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person by 3:30pm on April 24, 2026.

West Bend American Legion offers one scholarship valued at $600. An essay is required for application and all applications should be turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person by 3:30pm, by the deadline of April 27, 2026. Note that this application does not require the local application cover letter.

The Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship offers a $5,000 scholarship to a student who is of a Protestant faith, resident of Iowa, and will attend the University of Iowa. Recipients of the funds must include at least one who is a member of an Episcopal church and at least one who is a young man showing interest and promise in banking. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2026.

The West Bend Lions Club offers a scholarship to graduating seniors. They ask for students to apply by completing the local scholarship cover letter and a specific essay. All materials should be turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by 3:30pm on May 1, 2026.

The Achievement Foundation offers scholarships with varying values to students graduating from WBM. Students complete the local scholarship cover letter and the application, which includes an essay. Please note that the essay is an important part of the application, which should be turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by the deadline of 3:30pm on May 1, 2026.

The Eugene F. & Agatha E. Forey Nursing Scholarship offers financial support to students who will study in the nursing field. Applicants complete the local scholarship cover letter and application. An essay is required and additional papers can be included to accommodate a longer essay. Materials are turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by the 3:30pm on May 1, 2026 deadline.

The WBMEA scholarship is offered to graduating seniors after selecting from those who complete the local scholarship cover letter and application. An essay is required and materials should be turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by 3:30pm on May 1, 2026.

The Patsy Wirtz Memorial Fine Arts Scholarship is offered to a WBM graduating student who has participated in music, drama, dance, or art. There is a short essay as part of the application and the local scholarship cover letter is also required. Materials should be turned in to Mrs. Sulentic, in person, by 3:30pm on May 1, 2026.

Kossuth County Driftskippers Keith Grimm Memorial Scholarship is offered to students at 3 high schools, including WBM. An essay on what snowmobiling means to you is part of the application, which is due May 1, 2026.
