I have been teaching since the fall of 2001. Y'all weren't even born yet!! I received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University (Tony Romo was the QB while I was there!!!) before I started teaching and in 2005 I received my Master's degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University.

I grew up in North Chicago in Lake County and I started playing the trumpet when I was in 5th grade. I wanted to play the piccolo at first, but I couldn't get a sound on it!

I have always loved to make music by playing my trumpet and singing in choir at school and at church. I had always wanted to be in a play, but was too scared to try out. But in the spring of 2013, I auditioned for and was cast in my first ever musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! I got to play all sorts of different characters like an Ishmealite, a townsperson, a doo-wop girl and I was even the bars of a jail cell! Here's a picture of me when I got to be an Egytptian:

My husband, Mr. Storer is a trombone player and he teaches band just like me. We have a lot of fun making music together! He also plays the guitar and we sing together a lot too. We have two boys who are in 9th and 7th grade. They both play the piano and play in band and they love riding their bikes and playing video games.

But there's more to me than just music! I am a runner! I've run lots of half-marathons, two full-marathons, 4 50K's and I have even run a 50 mile race! I LOVE running! So if you see me running around town, don't be surprised!
