YouTube Channel with a TON of teaching videos, and fun song tutorials for each instrument!
Website with lots of info and links to his videos (link coming soon)
Dr. Selfridge Music youtube channel. Here you can find lots of videos about the instruments, and a lot of fun song tutorials. "Dr. Selfridge" is a band director, so is knowledgeable about all of the band instruments, and can play many of the instruments very well. Every teacher takes a slightly different approach to teaching different skills in band, so his approach might be slightly different than Mrs. Schweihs/Mrs. Hutter, and that is ok. Use his videos to learn some new fun songs, or explore interesting topics.

Dr Selfridge Website (I'll add his site soon!)
www.osfabb.com is a website with free music downloads for beginners and intermediate students. The site is for band directors, but parents can help navigate the page for kids wanting to find some new music to play. On the left side, midway down the home page, click the purple oval button “free osfabb music”, then click on your yellow instrument button, then tons of songs will appear. They all have a rating- our rating is .5 - anything higher than that will not be playable by us YET! Most beginning band members will reach a 1 by the end of the year. Choose only .5 music please!! Even some of these will be a challenge, but might be worth the effort to look up/work on new notes. Please don’t allow yourself to get frustrated by these songs- remember you are going here because you are looking for a new challenge.
This is a great resource for fun music designed for school age kids, in a variety of ability levels, but some great for our age/ability range!
