Tardies Interventions

Before you start, a few important points:

• Try multiple interventions
• Each intervention should be tried for a minimum of 2 weeks, & more than 1 intervention may be implemented at the same time
• Collect and track specific data on each intervention tried & its effect
• If your data indicates no progress after a minimum of 6 weeks, you may consider moving to the next tier of interventions

Being unified as a team of teachers will help a student have the

support and structure needed to be more successful at LRI.

Interventions:

Contact parent and determine buy-in level of parent - If good then discuss a plan together to improve the student getting to class/school on time.

Assign a classroom job that is needed at beginning of class

Talk 1 on 1 with student - Discuss the root cause for tardies - Formulate a plan

Assign a Peer Buddy to encourage

Build a Reward/Consequence System catered to the individual student

Help student form a more structured routine
