Dress Code Interventions

Being unified as a team of teachers will help a student have the

support and structure needed to be more successful at LRI.

Intervention:

Due to the sensitivity of this topic for many students and parents please refer all of these to the front office. All you have to do is email the secretaries to have the student called down to the office. Please do not approach the student about their dress apparel in front of other students. This has caused some parents to explode:)

- When they come to the office we follow this protocol:

1. We discuss the dress code with the student and discuss compliance.
2. We give them the option to change into other clothes they have at school (PE, Office clothes etc.)
3. We allow them to call their parent to bring them a change of clothes.
4. We log into PowerSchool the dress code violation. Parent is contacted.
5. Repeat offenders = parent conference, ISS
