School Year 2022-2023
Fifth grade art classes will continue working with the basic elements of art: color, line, shape, space and texture, work both 2 Dimensionally and 3 Dimensionally, and lessons will follow New York State Visual Arts Standards. Art projects will encompass Art History, study of specific artists and their styles, art from other cultures, and will make students aware of the close connection art has with math, science and everyday life.

Using different types of media for drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture
Basic skills in painting, clay work
Using media and techniques to communicate ideas
Using the visual elements of line, shape, texture, color, space, symbols and pattern to create 2 and 3
