Independent reading and write in reading logs.
Period 4:
Finish class discussion of Workshop preview quiz, page 7.
Watch short Workshop 1 introduction video of Survivors.
Class discussion: define "survive" and "survivor." List qualities of a survivor. Discuss noun and adjective forms of the qualities.
Distribute journals.
Homework:
In your journals, make a list of 5 qualities of a successful student and 5 qualities of a good teacher.
Bring 4 to 6 pictures of family and friends.
