If a student fails a required course during the school year, credit recovery must be completed during the following summer in order to stay on track for an on time graduation. Failure to complete required credit recovery will result in the student being ineligible for graduation during June of their Senior year. If credit recovery is not completed during the summer following the failed course, a student will either be scheduled to repeat the class the following school year, or will be expected to complete credit recovery prior to graduation.
Waterloo students should use Educere for their credit recovery needs.

Credit recovery courses are online, and range in price from $97.50 - $99.50, depending on the course subject. Students and their families are responsible for enrolling in, and paying for credit recovery courses.
There are Educere teachers available on the credit recovery website for classroom support and help when needed. The courses have something called "Instant Teacher", which is a live chat, or students can call their teachers. If technical help is needed, please contact Educere administrator Lindsey Mcloughlin at lmcloughlin@educere.net
Start Date: Up to 7 days after receipt of registration and payment.
End Date: Abbreviated courses (credit recovery) must be completed within 60 days of the student's start date. Half and quarter year abbreviated courses must be completed within 30 days of the student's start date.
All courses are self-paced, though students must complete them by the designated end date.
Credit recovery may ONLY be completed for courses that a student has attempted, and failed. "Original credit" is not given for credit recovery courses.
Students who attend Maplewood Career Center may use Educere, or Maplewood's credit recovery program (APEX), for their credit recovery needs.
