Every year, the world celebrates World Television Day on November 21 to acknowledge the importance of visual media. The first World Television Forum was celebrated on November 21 in 1996 and the day later came to be known as World Television Day.
The television brought forth an opportunity for people to have access to entertainment. It gave human beings a chance to consume information and feel one. With the advent of television, people felt that they were part of the same universe and were similar to each other.
Not only this, television became a way of socializing. In every household, people gathered before the screen to watch their favorites shows. As they watched shows and films, a sense of representation overtook them.
