Each year on March 3, we celebrate World Wildlife Day. It is a day to bring awareness to the significance of wildlife and the importance of preserving it. It was initiated by the United Nations in 2013 to celebrate the wonderful animals and plants that inhabit our planet. World Wildlife Day is an opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of wild fauna and flora, to raise awareness of their many benefits and to remind us of the urgent need to step up the fight against wildlife crime and human-induced reduction of species, which have wide-ranging economic, environmental and social impacts
