IMPORTANT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for every day this week - June 17th - June 21st, 2024.
Students are recommended to dress in summer attire including Light-colored attire, shorts or athletic/breathable pants, short sleeves, and loose fitting clothing to help keep themselves cool. Hats are also recommended while participating in outdoor activities to keep the sun off students' heads and faces.
Pack several (3-4) filled regular size reusable water or two very large reusable bottles with ice or partially frozen with closable lids - students will be reminded to drink water by their instructors and refill their water bottles as often as possible.
Students are recommended to wear sunscreen and reapply often, as well as, sit in shady areas while outdoors.
If at any point a student starts to feel uncomfortable, runs out of water, or feels unwell, they are to report to an instructor immediately so the appropriate actions can be taken.
Students should bring a lunch with them everyday to the program, as well as, any snacks they wish to consume throughout the day. The BREGS program DOES NOT provide lunches for students and therefore, lunches and water bottles or drinks should be provided from home and sent with the students daily to the BREGS program.
