This committee focuses on education across the University, including curriculum, student promotion, faculty development, and other educational activities. It regularly reviews curriculum issues and reports to both the Faculty Senate and the full Faculty Assembly, including how faculty input is incorporated into curriculum decisions. Each year, it prepares a report on the curriculum and on how University graduates are doing after completing their programs.

The Education Committee shall be concerned with all curricula, student promotions, faculty development, and education activities of the University. It will review and report to the Assembly and Senate on issues before the curriculum committee on a regular basis, as well as report on faculty input into curricular decisions and change. Yearly it will prepare a report for the Senate and distribution to the Assembly on curriculum and follow-up of University graduates. The chairperson of the faculty senate education committee, if a faculty member in the School of Medicine, shall be a designated nominee to the Executive Curriculum Committee of the School of Medicine. If the chairperson of the Faculty Senate education committee is not a member of the School of Medicine, the Faculty Senate shall designate a nominee to the Executive Curriculum Committee. At the direction of the President of the Senate, the Education Committee will prepare reports for the Deans on matters that relate to education.
