Alex Berglund is a second-year Master of Music student in horn performance from Grand Forks, North Dakota. Alex is deeply involved in the musical community, working as a Theory Teaching Assistant, freelancing, mentoring young horn players, and studying conducting. When he is not making music, Alex can be found bouldering up a new route, building his board game collection, or exploring the world of wine as he pursues a sommelier certification.
Drew Carroll-Frey is originally from Roseburg, Oregon. He is getting his BA in applied music at the University of Minnesota as well as a minor in Japanese Language and TESL. Drew is very passionate about drum and bugle corps and will be spending next summer with the Reading Buccaneers. Outside of school, he enjoys going out with my friends, watching movies/anime, and going to the gym!

Xiaomin Li is from China and holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Horn Performance from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. She is a second-year DMA student in Horn Performance at the University of Minnesota. Xiaomin is a faculty member at a University in China (on leave), where she will return when her DMA studies are completed. She enjoys skiing, surfing, and playing Mahjong, a traditional Chinese game, in her free time.
Jack Mellinger is from Lubbock, Texas. He received his Bachelor's of Music at Texas Tech University and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in horn performance. Outside of music, Jack enjoys playing disc golf, watching sports, and hanging out with his cat, Stewart.
Freshman Matthew Morrison is from Edmond, Oklahoma. He is studying Civil Engineering and Horn Performance. He spends most of his time playing the horn and guitar and composing music. He has built two guitars. Outside of music, Matthew enjoys playing FIFA, watching soccer, and biking around the city.
Tegan Nicholls is from Edmond, Oklahoma, and is a freshman at the University pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance. In addition to the horn, he plays piano, trumpet, and bass guitar. In his (very little) free time, Tegan loves drawing, sewing, and drinking coffee!
Josh Sperr is starting the second year of his Master's degree at the University of Minnesota. He graduated from Buffalo Senior High School and received his Bachelor's of Music from North Dakota State University. Outside of music, Josh enjoys reading, days at the lake, and spending time with friends and family.
