Please follow this process when proposing a new course.
It is generally best to start the process as early as possible, but at the very latest, course proposals should be submitted two weeks prior to the Curriculum Council meeting at which they will be reviewed.
As part of the proposal process, the department scheduler needs to submit a Coursedog entry for review. As part of the consultation, course proposers need to consult with other academic units to determine if the course is redundant/justified (this is the External Consultation step). The feedback gathered during this consultation is a required part of the Coursedog entry, so the course proposer must send this to the scheduler as soon as possible. You cannot proceed to the actual course proposal without a Coursedog entry. If you do not receive feedback within a week, please communicate this to the department scheduler. Please let the scheduler know when you have submitted the External Consultation form so that they know a Coursedog entry will be needed soon.
