Printing Resources

CEHD offers wide-format printing for free to students and faculty. Here are poster printing instructions.

Information about large-scale printing at Coffman Memorial Union computer lab. Coffman charges $4.50 per square foot, with a minimum cost of $10. Printing one of the 3' x 4' costs $54.

Design/Layout Resources

• Creative Commons Flickr: Free images to use. However, you must follow the Creative Commons Attribution rules

• UMN Library Communicating Research: Videos and tutorials on effective poster design

• URelations Photo Library: University-owned photos free for download and use by University faculty, staff, and students

Templates

Templates are available for professional conferences or displays. These templates already have UMN/CEHD/FSOS branding in place and are ready for content.

In addition to poster templates, there are also slideshow, Word/Google Doc, and Zoom backgrounds. Access these templates here. 

Newsletters

FSOS currently sends out two newsletters, one for the undergraduate program and the other for the Parent & Family Education program. These are sent out monthly (less during the summer).  They typically include the following information:

• General academic reminders

• FSOS highlights

We love to highlight our undergraduate faculty as a way for students to get to know our professors! If you are interested in being highlighted in the newsletter, please fill out the Google Form. We post other miscellaneous information as well. If you have something relevant that you'd like added to either newsletter, please reach out to Sophia Shepeck at shepe049@umn.edu.
