NARRATOR: Welcome to My NCBI part 1. In this video, I'll show you how to create a My NCBI account and save searches in PubMed.
To access My NCBI, click on the link in the upper right corner. You can create a free account by clicking on the register-for-an-account link and by filling in the appropriate information. I already have an account with a partner organization, so I'll just log in. Here's a search that I've been working on. To save it, I can click on the "Save Search" link at the top of the page. I can also save searches on the "Advanced Search" page under "Search History" by clicking on the search number and selecting "Save in My NCBI". Back on the Search Results page, there's a message that my search has been saved. There's also a link so that I can change the settings if I've changed my mind.
In the next video, I'll show you how to create collections of references in My NCBI. And if you have more questions about My NCBI or PubMed, please contact the Taubman Health Sciences Library.
