Research interests: Community detection in networks and Evolution of niches.
Current Projects:
Community detection in networks: How do you find similar sets of nodes when all you have is the nodes and edges? No
a priori guesses how many groups you're looking for or what kind of structure you're looking for (assortative structure, when a group has lots of in-links, or something else, like all a group of species in a food web with similar sets of prey?), all you have is the nodes and edges.
Evolution of niches: When does competition result in the formation of distinct ecological niches? When do we expect to be able to detect those niches?
