Burroughs Wellcome Fund PUP Collaboration Grants

Funding Purpose: To enhance growing collaborations with fellow students that build upon the knowledge and skills initiated at the BWF PUP Modeling meeting.

Allowable requests: Up to $1500 per person submitting the request for visits to host institution of a collaborator to develop joint research proposals or manuscripts, or other reasonable requests that meet the stated purpose.

Application should include: 1) Description of proposed request; 2) Expected outcome/ products (short and longterm); 3) Justification for the request; 4) Proposed budget and budget justification. The request must be signed by both parties and a director of their respective BWF PUP Program. Please limit items 1-3 to 2 pages, and item 4 to a single page. Template attached and online.

Ideas of how these funds can be used:

1. Visit to eachother's institution to discuss a collaborative project. Travel expenses would be covered.

2. Travel jointly to a meeting to present an abstract. Travel and registration expenses would be covered.

3. Visit to collaboration on a paper for publication. Travel and publication costs would be covered.

4. Travel jointly to sworkshop or training such as SISMID or other modeling workshop.

These are just a couple of ways we thought people might use these funds; if you have another way you would like to collaborate with a student from the meeting please feel free to submit that proposal.
