Classroom Management Plan
After reading relevant literature in the course, I created a plan for how I will set-up and run my classroom. In addition to listing rules that are versatile enough to handle most situations, my plan details classroom procedures that enumerate my high expectations for students and explain how I will determine grades. Finally, my classroom management plan describes how I will handle students' positive and negative behaviors.
Structuring My Classroom
As a group project, Steven Racine, Laura Beindit, Tyler Rhudy, and myself read Successful Classroom Management by Eyster & Martin and gave a presentation on it to the class. I played a large role in assembling the PowerPoint, and I presented strategies for the first day of school. This project, and the book, provided me with lots of inspiration and ideas on how to manage my classroom.
