Master & Doctorade

Master's degrees

The department is responsible for two official master’s degree programmes (Master’s Degree in Design and Manufacturing and Master’s Degree in Energetic Efficiency and Sustainability in Industrial Facilities and Building) and sporadically participates in at least four other master’s degree courses (Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training, Master’s Degree in Development Cooperation, Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention and Master’s Degree in Sustainable Chemistry). It also collaborates in a number of specific master’s degrees issued by UJI itself, such as the Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Construction Engineering and the Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences.

Master’s Degree in Design and Manufacturing

The Master’s Degree in Design and Manufacturing is one of the new official master’s degrees and is focused on specialising engineers and technical engineers in the fields of product design and designing machinery. The Master has the EUR-ACE quality label, and has been available to students since the academic year 2007-08. It makes use of an innovative teaching method and is structured in modules, each of which is devoted to a specific area of training. It also shares a common system of assessment. In each module, students carry out real designs in small groups, which also trains them to work in heterogeneous groups, since the members come from a variety of different academic backgrounds. The use of the new technologies is a very important element throughout the whole of the master's degree course. (http://www.mdf.uji.es)

Master's Degree in Energetic Efficiency and Sustainability in Industrial Facilities and Building

The general aim of this master’s degree is to provide students with the specific knowledge they will need to produce energetically and environmentally sustainable designs and systems of management for facilities related with industry and construction. The course is aimed at postgraduate students with previous training in technological-scientific areas who wish to specialise in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability both in the industrial sector and in construction. It is one of the university’s most popular master’s degrees and its programme includes specific seminars given by specialised professionals from outside the university.
