These sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday via Zoom from 1:00-1:15 pm. The zoom link is in the orientation email.
These sessions are held every Wednesday from 12:15-1:00 pm in 1-124Q CSB (or another time arranged by staff on service). You will receive an email reminder weekly with the session handout.
During your rotation, you will be expected to attend ID Case Rounds (Thursdays). Further details regarding locations, topics, and times can be found in the Orientation Manual. Education session handouts will be distributed via email prior to the sessions. You may be expected to do a 15-minute presentation at ID rounds on one of the Thursdays you are on service. This will be a short, case-based presentation with an associated literature search focused on one aspect of the case (e.g. one aspect of diagnosis or management). Please contact the staff and/or subspecialty resident with any questions and to help you to select an appropriate case to present.
It is mandatory that you complete this exam. It is a 1-hour, timed, clinically-based MCQ examination, that you must complete in one sitting, and you will be given access to the correct answers and explanation. You cannot alter your answer once you go on to the next question. The exam will open on the last Monday of the block.
