We have a fun filled programme this term exploring 'Winter' through our wonderfully prepared environment rich in Montessori apparatus and project specific materials, along with group activities including storytelling, singing, art, dance and music. The children will also have the opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year and make something special for Valentines and Mothers' Day.
Afternoon sessions this term
Freddie continues to run wonderful sports sessions on Mondays
Claudia will now be joined by Karina on Tuesday afternoons for creative arts.
'Colourstrings' with Tesia continues on Wednesdays.
'Colourstrings is child-centred. The materials are colourful, stimulating and entice children to embark on musical adventures that will enable each of them to fulfil their musical potential through fun and creativity, without pressure. It is an extension of the Kodály philosophy: everything starts with singing to develop inner hearing. Central to the approach is the role of play and imagination..."
The very popular Forest School with Christine and Eva finishes the week off. Sessions will take place in our lovely garden along with visits to Kew Gardens and woodland spaces we are privileged to have access too such as Sheen Common and Richmond Park.
The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through an innovative, long term, educational approach to outdoor play and learning in a woodland setting.
