Using Information Technology Ethically
Today's technology makes it very easy to cut and paste information from one document into another, which can make writing a paper faster and easier than ever before. However.... we MUST remember to use the information we find ethically. Students should make sure that they record all of the information sources used and create citations for all references to material used.
Use direct quotes for emphasis in your paper, but most of your information should be paraphrased. Paraphrasing is a process which creates understanding of the material and helps to convey the information learned ethically.
