Employees involved in office work are required to wear clothing that is in good taste. In general, professionalism and modesty should prevail. “Clothing that is in good taste” will include denim attire.
Employees other than office workers must use good judgment in wearing work clothes that are practical and appropriate for the work performed. Torn, dirty clothing, T-shirts designed to wear as an undergarment, and cut-offs are not allowed.
Uniforms are available for full time shop employees 30 days after their hire date. Superior Industries will furnish sets of shirts and pants per week with the option of coveralls in the dollar amount equivalent of the shirt/pants. Uniforms must be returned to Superior Industries upon the end of employment.
Employees of Superior Industries, Inc. are considered “Professionals” by our customers. When we are going to meet with a customer, we need to dress at least at the same level as the customer. This could run the full range from shirt and pants to coat and tie. Gauge your customer to determine correct attire, whether they are a small gravel producer or a large corporate account, and dress accordingly.
Quite often, there are visitors to our Company who have the opportunity to observe the personal appearance of our employees. Your individual grooming is important to our professional reputation and continued growth.
Employees with questions or concerns about this policy or desire and accommodation should contact their supervisor or Human Resources.
