Funeral leave will be granted to all full time employees according to the following guidelines:
24 hours of paid funeral leave when death occurs in the employee's immediate family
For purposes of this policy, "immediate family" shall be defined as: parent, spouse, sibling, son or daughter, grandchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchild-in-law or grandparent-in-law. Any additional time needed beyond these guidelines must be PLT unless an unpaid, approved leave of absence has been granted by the immediate supervisor and Human Resource.
