Superior Industries may discipline an employee by taking any one or more of the following actions; verbal warning(s), written warning(s), suspension, and termination. Superior Industries retains the sole discretion to determine in each circumstance which form of discipline is appropriate, including whether or not immediate termination of employment is appropriate.
A violation of Company policy or rule may result in a disciplinary action up to, and including, termination. It is in your best interest to be aware of the type of conduct and behavior that is considered unacceptable and it is your responsibility to know and comply with company policies and procedures.
It is impossible and impractical to list all activities that might lead to disciplinary action. The following is a non-exhaustive list of some examples of activities that may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination.
1. Deliberate or reckless disregard or violation of safety policies, guidelines and/or practices of Superior Industries, its customers or a state or federal agency.
2. Failure to carry out lawful instructions.
3. Repeated malingering (loafing) on the job.
4. Unexcused Absence.
5. Violating the attendance policy.
6. Fighting on the job or otherwise violating the workplace violence policy.
7. Conduct prohibited by the anti-harassment policy.
8. Negligent conduct or intentional damage by the employee with respect to Superior Industries machines or buildings.
9. Falsification or unauthorized alteration of time for yourself or a fellow employee.
10. Not wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection or hard hats where they are required.
11. Failing to keep work area clean, tools hung in proper place, or machines maintained as needed.
12. Intentionally concealing errors or mistakes.
13. Failure to perform work assignments as scheduled or requested.
14. Engaging in off duty behavior or misconduct that adversely affects the employee's on-site job performance.
15. Violating the smoking policy.
16. Possessing, selling , buying, offering, receiving, distributing, or using illegal drugs or controlled substances during working hours or on Company premises, whether or not you are actually working.
17. This includes consumption of alcohol during work hours.
18. Reporting to work or working while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs, or controlled substances.
19. Any violation of any other policy, rule, or regulation.
