1. Approval link within AP Workflow emails no longer work
Emails are auto-generated by servicelink and sent to Stern email accounts for approval of AP Workflow requests. These emails have links that allow easy approval. These links no longer function after Stern account is converted to NYU NetID format
Workaround: Client has to approve the AP Workflow requests through Servicelink
Resolution 1: This issue automatically resolves itself within 24 - 48 hours when an automatic process updates the data systems at NYU IT.
2. Cannot send email from netid@stern.nyu.edu (jd123@stern.nyu.edu)
Emails cannot be sent from the netid address, but can be sent from the alias email address (jdoe@stern.nyu.edu). This is caused by the machine holding onto a gmail browser session.
Resolution: Reboot your machine again.
3. Handheld devices such as cell phones and tablets are logged in as "usernameold@stern.nyu.edu"
This happens when the account remains logged in during the conversion/merging process.
Resolution: Log out of email, close the web browser, then log back in with your netid@stern.nyu.edu account.
4. Google Chat contacts and history from one of the accounts is lost
Unfortunately Google does not provide an ability to transfer their chat content, therefore if this occurs there is no fix for this.
